- I don’t download these apps to play games, I download them to do the daily check-ins and receipt scans. I use MANY of these receipt apps, have been for years. When I started at the beginning of the year Copper seemed ok. I was able to upload like 15 receipts a week, not the greatest I’ve seen but whatever. NOW they’ve made stupid “levels” and you are only allowed to upload like 3-5 receipts (and if you accidents snap a pic of a receipt outside the timeframe they count that as a scan even though you get zero points!) until you move up to the next level and they are basically forcing you to earn “xp” to be able to upload more. In order to earn XP you HAVE to play the games and make in-app purchases, and sign-up for the “offers”. I don’t play games on these apps bc I don’t have the time to invest in them. It’s really irritating that they’re pretty much shaping how you’re able to use this app and it’s not at the user’s discretion anymore. This app is a load of dog dookie now. 🙄 Rated 5 stars so this will actually get seen by people. If you have loads of time to play games and complete “offers” then you may have better luck. If you only want it for the weekly receipt scanning points and check-ins I’d say don’t bother. There’s tons of way better apps out there to earn $$ for receipt scanning. And they don’t force you to play games in order to be able to upload said receipts.
Meh at the most

- After reading mostly positive reviews, I decided to download Copper 2 months ago. I hoped it would be different than other apps of its kind, and it definitely has been! There is a good variety of games where coins are awarded at level achievements; the offers tab provides opportunities for earning additional coins through partnering apps; coins can be easily earned by those who are frequent shoppers, just take a photo of your receipts & earn 4 coins for each (limit of 20 snaps/wkly) but earning money documenting your spending couldn’t be that easy…Well it is. Coins can also be earned through surveys which I would love to participate in & I attempt often, but I never seem to end up qualifying for. I realize the surveys are administered by a partner group, but If you have the patience & are willing to spend 15-20 mins only to find out you won’t be credited for the wasted time then give it a shot, or perhaps you’ll find this tab a more lucrative means than myself or many others have. Either way you choose, it only takes a few minutes a day to earn the 500 coins ($5 min) to cash out. I was able to cash out $5 within my first week. With no money required, Copper is an easy, fun way to make extra cash & with consistency supplements nicely. Thanks Copper for creating a reliable & enjoyable app for those looking to earn some extra cash!!
Easy, fun, pays quickly…Give it a try!!
- I only gave Copper 5 stars so my review would be near the top and serve as a warning to others to avoid the app. The app seems to have issues reading receipts that, when I look at the photo, are quite clear. Many of my receipts have been rejected because of this. The surveys? Don’t even bother. You’ll spend several minutes answering questions, only to be told you don’t qualify or to have the survey just POOF! disappear whilst you’re in the middle of it. I downloaded one of the games, and mostly play it as I’m waiting for an appointment or for a few minutes before bed. It seems you have to attain a certain level in a fairly short period of time, so the games for points thing doesn’t really work for me. There are better apps out there if you want to rack up points faster. UPDATE: I came back after my last review over a year ago to report that the app is still glitchy. The daily check-ins don’t always register, so I end up back at square one, despite having 56 consecutive days of check-ins. I’m “back at it” today, even though I logged in yesterday. I’ll scan a receipt, only for the app to get stuck. I’ve noticed others have had several issues similar to mine. I really hope the developer finally works out the long-standing bugs, but for now I’ll stick with Fetch and CoinOut. Copper has officially become a waste of time for me.
Glitchy (and NOT 5 stars)
Great App but Horrible Customer Support
- So I like the app and it’s a great way to earn rewards but I will say this….they have THE WORST customer service that I have ever experienced. I have had 2 problems with trying to get credit for missing credits for completing offers and it takes forever for them to get back to you. Like the first problem I had it took nearly 1 1/2 months to finally get the credits and I am basically being ghosted now for the 2nd issue I have had…like I had another offer issue that I addressed and they were quick to get back at first and asked me to provide screenshots, in which I did, and they said that they would get back to me within 1-2 business after looking over everything I provided for them that I did in fact complete an offer for and still have not heard back from them and it’s been 1 1/2 months and counting… I have been constantly following up and getting no responses in return, not even an update (like we are still working on your request)….Other than that, the app is great but just be aware about completing offers because they don’t count like they should (which there is probably some weird glitch about it if I had to guess) and trying to reach out to customer support is a pain in the butt….hopefully my 2nd missing credit issue gets resolved soon because I have worked on and completed an offer that should have gotten me over $100 worth of credits.
Great app when you don’t care about whether they give you what you earn or not
- Update: they slowly released what I earned but when I went to cash out it’s saying 10 days but my first cashout was literally a min after. Then they say I’m earning too fast. Like I thought that’s what the app is for to play games reach goals before time runs out? But instead they freeze your account and play with your money if you do…I’m not sure how it takes so long but I made over $92 bucks and only got $15 they are doing something to my account. I referred a few people but then had to share this experience with them…no other earning app does stuff like this that I’ve played at least. It’s definitely scammish. First review: I saw this app on an ad, I downloaded it and seen a bingo game on there, I love bingo so of course I downloaded it. I’ve gotten to level 61 and yes I have made purchases but it’s been skipping over my rewards and not giving me the creds for completing the quest… I’m missing over $40 that I’ve played fair and square and still haven’t received. I thought this was a great app and shared it to all my family and friends but now it looks like I’m going to have to tell them it’s a gimmick you play and don’t earn anything because they think you are earning too quickly but they literally give you a set timeframe most within the first day to complete the tasks.
They are liars and thieves
- In the beginning, I played a game and a lot of cash incentives for reaching each level at first they were doing really good. They’re paying out all the small ones then I got the bigger ones and it would take longer for me to get it. Then when I hit the big prize which was $150 nothing I couldn’t get a response from customer service because there’s nobody AI and I tell you that somebody will reach back out to you via email. Took about four days for me to reach back out to me and ask for pictures for proof and nothing. We are almost a year later I sent several emails no response back or if they did respond back it would be something completely off the subject. They are not BBA accredited, but I’m still going to reach out to the BBA today and send him the information. I may not ever get that $150 that they owe me but at least I will report them and they will have one more complaint and maybe it will help somebody else from getting scammed by the scammers. I wasted my time and money. I spent money on this game, which I did get back that part but the whole time of it all so I can get the big 150 and I worked hard. Spent hours on this game. I would not waste my time if I was you with this app, they are liars. They even went as far as changing the goal after I started emailing them, I have screenshots of the original goal and I have screenshots of where they changed I’m telling you these people are liars and they will cheat you.
Not worth the effort
- They call themselves a receipt app and yet they only allow 3 receipts a day but not that many a week. 3 a day would be 21. The weekly limit is around 8-10. The “random” cred wheel ONLY ever gives 1 cred so to make $5 would take forever!!!! Unless you’re shopping through the app all the time, when let’s face it, nobody has extra money for anything these days. We’re barely surviving bc of greed and this app is no different. The receipt info is obviously valuable to companies or these apps wouldn’t exist. The apps then sell the info to the companies for waaaaaaaaaaaay more than what they give us for the information while they’re also making tons of money off of the millions of ads they force us to watch. Their support leaves a LOT to be desired!!! It’s AI and it can’t answer the simplest of questions and there’s no way to get a human being that I’ve found. If you ask the ai for a human it just tells you that it’s super smart and can answer anything and then you ask it and it says “hmmm…idk.” SUPER frustrating! There are way better options out there than this app. I’m almost to my $5 Cashout and then I’m done with it. The only reason I even kept it going this long is bc I had gotten some bonus creds for signing up so I figured I’d finish out the $5. It’s been 3-4 months since I downloaded it and I’ve only just earned 124 creds total. The rest were bonus points. That’s how long it takes to make $5. Soooo not worth it.
Not a great use of your time
- I downloaded the app when I saw it on an ad mid gameplay. Thought it would be a nice addition to fetch and pogo and they addressed one of the most common issues in the ad, the odd receipt scanning capability isn’t top notch. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I can’t get past having to spin that wheel when you open the app which is a waste of time because you get no more than 1-2 coins each time. Your receipts are only worth 3 coins which is a far cry from the 25 coins with other apps. The scanning has no great capability and doesn’t recognize the same receipt my other apps recognized so there isn’t an issue with the receipt. And the last draw was you have to get 1500 coins to cash out, which will take forever at 3 coins a receipt. The only way to get extra coins is to sign up for their offers or play games which I don’t have time for so I’m at a loss. I’m too deep into it to stop using the app before I cash out. I’m a bit frustrated. It’s not a terrible app but after you’ve been on others that are way more efficient and provide you gift cards faster, it’s hard to deal with this one. I only wrote the review so others would know what they are getting, not to totally say it’s not worth it. At the end of the day how much patience do you have??? Obviously I don’t have much.
